Festival MIX México – Cine, Diversidad Sexual y de Género (MIX Mexico) is a community-based event, the first and largest QUEER FILM FESTIVAL in Hispanic America. In 2025 we will be celebrating 30 uninterrupted years of MIX Mexico.

The 29th edition of MIX Mexico will take place from June 19 to 29, 2025 in some of the best venues in Mexico City and other states of the country.
SECTIONS in which films (feature and short) registered in the MIX Mexico CALL can participate:
• Competition MIX
• Panorama MIX
• Pink MIX
CONVOCATORIA MIX MX
Festival MIX México – Cine, Diversidad Sexual y de Género (MIX México) es un evento de carácter comunitario, el primer y más grande FESTIVAL DE CINE QUEER en Hispanoamérica. En 2025 estaremos celebrando 30 años ininterrumpidos de MIX México.

La 29ª edición de MIX Méxco se llevará a cabo del 19 al 29 de junio de 2025 en algunos de los mejores recintos de la Ciudad de México y otros Estados del país.
SECCIONES en las que pueden participar las películas (largometrajes y cortometrajes) inscritas en la CONVOCATORIA MIX MÉXICO:
• Competencia MIX
• Panorama MIX
• Rosa MIX
•BUTTERFLY MIX Award for Best Feature Film
Only feature films that are selected for the COMPETITION MIX section may participate to obtain the BUTTERFLY MIX for best feature film
•BUTTERFLY MIX Award for Best Short Film
Only short films that are selected for the COMPETITION MIX section may participate to obtain the BUTTERFLY MIX for best short film
•Special MIX Jury Award
The jury may decide (or not) to give a special award, whether to a film (feature film or short film), to a technical aspect of the film, to an actor/actress or to a member of the crew
•BUTTERFLY PINK Award for Best Mexican Work
Any Mexican film, feature film or short film from any section of the Festival may participate to obtain the BUTTERFLY PINK
•BUTTERFLY OF MIX AUDIENCE Award for Best Feature Film
The public attending MIX Mexico may vote for the best feature film and award the BUTTERFLY OF MIX AUDIENCE
•Premio MARIPOSA MIX a Mejor Largometraje
Sólo las películas/largometrajes que sean seleccionadas para la sección COMPETENCIA MIX podrán participar para obtener La MARIPOSA MIX al mejor largometraje
•Premio MARIPOSA MIX a Mejor Cortometraje
Sólo las películas/cortometrajes que sean seleccionadas para la sección COMPETENCIA MIX podrán participar para obtener La MARIPOSA MIX al mejor cortometraje
•Premio Especial del Jurado MIX
El jurado podrá tomar la decisión (o no) de dar un premio especial, ya sea a una película (largometraje o cortometraje), a un aspecto técnico de la película, a un actor/actriz o a algún miembro del equipo
•Premio MARIPOSA ROSA al Mejor Trabajo Mexicano
Cualquier película, largometraje o cortometraje, MEXICANOS, de cualquier sección del Festival, podrá participar para obtener La MARIPOSA ROSA MIX
•Premio MARIPOSA DEL PÚBLICO MIX al Mejor Largometraje
El público asistente al Festival MIX México podrá votar por la mejor película/largometraje y otorgar La MARIPOSA DEL PÚBLICO MIX
