Florence Queer Festival
Wednesday, 26 November 2025 until Sunday, 30 November 2025
Founded in 2003, the festival hosts feature films, documentaries and short films, as well as talks, panels, live performances and social events. Over the years, it has hosted prestigious guests such as Lindsay Kemp, Drusilla Foer and Eytan Fox.
The festival is organized by IREOS, a volunteer association that’s been operating in Florence since 1997, and which is focused on the health and psychological well-being of Florence’s LGBTQ+ population, and with the support of public institutions and private sponsors.
Our 23nd edition will take place in Florence, Italy, from November 26th to 30th, 2025.

Queer Animation Award for Best Animated Short Film
Pride Award, for the best short or film that highlights activism and visibility
Special Mentions
Winners will receive awards uniquely designed for the Festival, but no cash prizes.
