Prairie Pride Film Festival

The Prairie Pride Film Festival (PPFF), presented by OutNebraska, delivers independent films featuring LGBTQ+ issues to a midwestern audience in the state of Nebraska. In its 12th year, the festival continues the tradition of highlighting underrepresented voices through the hosting of a global avenue for LGBTQ+ artists to begin and maintain essential conversations in an often conservative community. The PPFF helps OutNebraka EDUCATE, ADVOCATE, and most importantly, CELEBRATE LGBTQ+ culture and community building through activities and programs.

In spite of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, 2022's 12th Festival will be presented virtually in order to ensure the health and well-being of the people of Nebraska, while maintaining a fun and entertaining event for those who attend. Depending on the situation this summer, the festival may have a one-night-only premiere showing of select feature films.

Festival History: PPFF was originally created for the residents of Lincoln, Nebraska (United States) to ensure the visibility of LGBTQ+ stories, visions, and talent. Later, OutLinc become OutNebraska as their services moved from local advocacy to the premier statewide LGBTQ+ advocacy organization we see today.
