ALT* Festival de Cine Documental LGBT+

ALT* Festival de Cine Documental LGBT+

Thursday, 24 April 2025 until Sunday, 27 April 2025

ALT* Festival de Cine Documental LGBT+ is a documentary-only film festival focused on our community, and exploring themes of love, gender, migration, violence, discrimination and public policy.

For its very first edition, we invite you to an exciting cinematic journey that celebrates queer realities in Latin America and connects stories and experiences that challenge the barriers of love, gender, migration, violence, discrimination and public policy.

We’re looking for documentaries that offer a window into the intersectionality of queer life, exploring its connections to racial, migratory, colonial, and cultural issues.

More than screenings, the festival will offer experiences in which documentary film will be accompanied by dinners, drinks, parties, merch and roundtable discussions.

We seek to share stories that portray the intersectionality of queer life and its connections with racial, migratory, colonial, cultural and any other angle of social construction where oppressive binarism is questioned.
