And What? Queer. Arts. Festival

This edition of And What? brings together the (un)usual in home-grown talent and international artistes, the brave, bold, under-and-overground of the queer avant garde and the strong voices and diverse perspectives of our community. It celebrates thehardcore to the normcore, in/difference, division and unity,and all the beauty that lies inbetween.

We have selected work that can break boundaries, challenge and comfort. It’s a programme that references the past and envisions afuture for risk, innovation and new experiences. It includes bonafide Queer icons and makes space for up-and-coming legends. As ever And What? makes new connections and encourages collaboration.

We wanted to remind ourselves that Queer is Difference. That it is odd, that it is intersectional, and that it is not homogenised. Queer is ageless, gender-free and political. With that in mind the programme really is a jolly jumble of joys for you to discover, with no overarching narrative, just a journey of chance encounters, opportunities and dalliances.
