Shindig

Shindig

A Southern Celebration of Queer Cinema

Address

  • Chattanooga, Tennessee
  • USA

SHINDIG Film Festival is Chattanooga’s first and only celebration of queer cinema, from the creators of the acclaimed Chattanooga Film Festival. This two-day event will feature the best in short form and feature length narratives and documentaries from around the globe, bringing the newest and most exciting queer cinema to the Scenic City.

In its inaugural year, SHINDIG is focusing on the celebration of ‘community’ and will feature numerous screenings, fabulous parties, filmmaker discussions, and more. Films will be eligible for a host of awards, both juried and audience choice. SHINDIG will take place at the new Palace Picture House in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

SHINDIG is a chance for Chattanooga film lovers to experience cinema that might have previously evaded them, and a chance for LGBTQ citizens of the city to see their stories and voices portrayed on screen in a variety of different ways. The language of cinema is universal, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring these innovative and evocative new works to audiences.
