CGiii Comment

One of the most celebrated comic books in recent years about a shy young student meeting a dreamy drag queen, has finally been created for the big screen. Adapted from the award-winning comic Strange written by Yuruko Tsuyuuki, the cast and crew - all fans of the original IP - gathered to make a short film that will inspire you to connect with someone at first sight. Strange is written and directed by Ken Ochiai, the auteur of emotionally-centered works such as Uzumasa Limelight. It stars Towa Araki (The Boy's Abyss) as Odeko, and Durian Lollobrigida, who co-stars as Kumada and his drag queen persona, Kuma. A STRANGE encounter starts a chapter of my life, one that gently swallows me whole.
