“Ralé – The Lower Depths” is a film within a film. Young directors, prodigal adolescents, are filming "The Exhibitionist" in the middle of a farm in a paradisiacal region. Baron, performed by Ney Matogrosso, lives in the farm where his marriage to the dancer Marcelo will be celebrated. The film poetically investigates the Brazilian soul, placing the Amazon as the epicenter of the world, reflecting on existential issues, legitimizing the right to sexual freedom and individuality.


Ralé é um filme dentro de um filme. Jovens diretores, adolescentes prodígios, estão filmando “A Exibicionista” em meio a uma fazenda numa região paradisíaca. Barão, personagem de Ney Matogrosso, vive nesta fazenda onde irá celebrar seu casamento com o dançarino Marcelo. O filme investiga poeticamente a alma brasileira, colocando a Amazônia como epicentro do mundo, refletindo a respeito de questões existenciais, legitimando o direito à liberdade e individualidade sexual.
