Okay...as you may have guessed we don't 'do' web series...why? Because they are a hot-bed and breeding ground for talentless-fame-thirsty-bores. However, there are a few exceptions...this being one of them.

The productions values are pretty impressive...great camera-work, good sound. In other words, it doesn't look or sound like a web series. Phew!

Now...the writing - it has some highs and some lows. Trans*issues are fraught with complexities...quite possibly, the writers took on a little too much considering the constraints that they had to deal with. The lesbian journalist is a badly-written stereotype...as for the 'feminist' well she's as unpleasant as sour milk.

There is room for improvement and there's room to expand...a second series would be good place to improve and expand.

That said...for a web series...it's up there with the best of them.

The(ir) Blurb...

Her Story is Los Angeles two trans women who have given up on love. Suddenly chance encounters give them hope. Violet is drawn to Allie, a reporter who approaches her for an interview. Career-driven Paige meets James, the first man she's considered opening up to in years. Will they risk letting what they are stand in the way of being loved for who they are? This is a story of been complex characters who laugh, struggle, and grow, who share strength in sisterhood, who seek and find love. Her Story depicts the unique, complicated, and very human women we see in queer communities, and explores how these women navigate the intersections of label identity and love.
