CGiii Comment

Expectations were low...but, the surprises kept on coming!

Tackling the kitchen-sink with this amount of quirkiness is no mean feat...Janis Pugh, along with her cast, do it in their nowt-as-queer-as-family strides. It might be grim...but, there's always something to laugh and sing about...even in a chicken factory.

Tragi-comedy is rarely dealt such a generous hand. There's community and commonality, misogyny and misandry, infertility and infidelity. There's death and dying, living and lying, laughing and crying. And, there's a bit of Neil Diamond thrown in for good measure!

From heartbeats to song sheets, from poultry to poetry...Chuck Chuck Baby is a distinctly fresh breath of British air.
