Technically, it is atrocious - especially the sound...Italian directors do like to dub...badly.

And these brotherly directors - it is stretching the imagination by calling them directors - have neither vision, technique nor, control...nothing whatsoever in the talent department.

Simply, it's a shambolic and amateur view of a fine book...

The vital question is: why did it win so many prestigious awards?

There is no accounting for taste when it comes to award givers...did they not notice the technical and directorial ineptitudes...?
