Margaret follows the harrowing tale of a transgendered nun who escapes to a rural convent in Aarhus, Denmark. In an attempt of finding comfort with her sexuality, she is met with opposing and harsh truths, still moulded within the church led by Catherine. At this waking event, Catherine refuses Margaret's refuge but an unsuspecting confidante gives her enough courage, that will determine her fate above and beyond her expectations.
