Over the course of a single day, the marriage of a ruthless queen consort and her apathetic young king descends into chaos when a mysterious bird falls (literally) into their midst. Almost a fairy tale, almost a political intrigue, and not really a romantic tragedy; The Aviary whimsically explores the illusion of power, who has it, and how easily its balance can be upset.
