The question has got to be...why?!?

The [original] film is [and always will be] iconic.

The question has got to be...why?!?

The answer...the millennials. They [probably] would never watch the original film because...it's too old!!!

And since we live in an age of the re-make, the re-hash, the stretch-the-franchise-out-to-the-nth-degree...why not have a stab at The Exorcist! It made a mountain of money!

So...is it worth watching? It will appeal to the kiddies, those with a more discerning appetite will be reviled by the liberties taken...this is not The Exorcist as we know and love!

This is grandiose soap-opera with a convoluted plot and some watered-down nastiness.

Geena Davis, Ben Daniels and Sharon Gless make it worth watching...but, the trivial lesbian storyline and the idea that assassinating the pope will end catholicism...well, let's just say...if there is going to be a second season...get new writers!!!
