Post-natal psychosis [as opposed to depression] and lesbian subtext!!! What on earth is going on?!?

Nothing quite like having a 'Night Nanny' when parenthood becomes an unappreciated, exhausting chore...aggravated -to the nth degree - by a neolithic, non-entity of a husband. If you've got the money...get one in, pronto! Or, have a rich relative buy you a gift that will change your life...move over Julie Andrews, here comes Mackenzie Davis!

This here 'Night Nanny' is more like an overly-sexualised, muffin-making Mary Poppins - what on earth is going on? She's an outright godsend! No home should be without her!

There are furtive looks, innuedo by the bucket-load, ambiguous exchanges, disaterous desire...and, electricity...between these Nanny and Mother. The question is: Will they...or, won't they?

Tully concludes Jason Reitman & Diablo Cody's trilogy [Juno & Young Adult being the other two]...in the best way possible...with a stepped-upon, earthy performance by Charlize Theron - she draws that fine line between tragedy and comedy...to perfection.

But...what seems like a - resonately - typical tale of familial dysfunction...well, hold onto your riding-breeches, Diablo Cody gallops off in a totally different direction, scuppering that whole - comfortably familiar - perception...with a rather remarkable [& jaw-dropping] revelation...it really does elicit a gasp...or, a WOW!

It really is a clever, clever film. Wow.
