CGiii Comment
The first film to be shown on Channel 4...it's grim.
Possibly the role that got him noticed by the general public, McKellen soars within his character.
It's disturbing, it's cruel...with no respite whatsoever.
The molestation scene is a horror.
Not easy...but, worth the agony.
