White Jewish lesbians adopt 3 children of mixed races and raise them in the Jewish faith.
It's not surprising that identity issues arise as the children grow.
Personal opinion and judgments are of no concern here, Opper has made a documentary which primarily focuses on a difficult time for a teen...any teen, of any race, of any background.
And, it is not particularly kind, the subject is just a typical teen - headstrong, selfish and confused.
What matters is the love and support around her and it is around her, in abundance...adoption will always be difficult - that's just a fact.
This shows a completely fresh perspective - whether you agree with it or not - it certainly makes a point.
