CGiii Comment

Brokeback Mountain...it most certainly is not...

A vanity project...it most certainly is!

If faux cowboys, line-dancing, religion and dodgy Country-&-Western music are the things that rock your boat...then, you lucky few, you are in for a real honker of a film.

Rather than ripping it to shreds...we will content ourselves with saying: It's not good.

The(ir) Blurb...

PERFECT COWBOY is a musical about the type of family that is typically described in country western music. These people are Christians, they like to frequent their favorite bars on the weekends, they have deep family dramas that threaten the foundation of that family, and they find love and take solace in one another.

The film is also about two gay fathers raising a heterosexual young man whose mother is struggling to remain clean of drugs. They all live in a rural community and all play in a country/folk band. One of the boy's fathers is fighting his demons through alcohol and battles with the law. These are also prevalent aspects of this country's story. In the end, it's the love of the family and their belief in something higher that helps them transcend their challenges.
