CGiii Comment

An alien crash-lands his escape pod in a small forest in the countryside. The pod is losing power fast, and the injured alien is dying. His only chance at survival is to use his telepathic powers to attract humans to his location, in the hope that they would help him. Using their own memories to trick them, he successfully guides several of them to his pod. But unbeknownst to him, getting too close to the pod has the unforeseen effect of plunging the humans into a trance, making them incapable of helping anyone. Our protagonist, David, is visiting his mom. It's been one year since his boyfriend committed suicide. Shortly after the crash, David starts having intense visions of his boyfriend's death. These visions bring David straight to the pod where he falls, like the others there, into a catatonic trance. The pod inevitably shuts down and the alien inside passes away, unable to get help from any of the humans.
