CGiii Comment

The first 30 minutes are really rather pointless...correction, the whole thing is totally pointless.

The monks look like a bunch of camp hairdressers...

It is very difficult to take anything seriously in this primitive adaption of schoolboys selling boxes of chocolates (it's a metaphor, duh!) - doesn't sound too thrilling or gripping and that's because it most certainly is not.

The soundtrack of mainly British artists is possibly one of the most bizarre - nothing matches with what is actually going on, the Peter Gabriel sequence is just plain weird.

Gordon's debut, as a director, is totally unchallenging and flaccid...surprising with all the teen boys...hormones.

A thorough annihilation of a disturbing book.
