CGiii Comment

Rarely does a film come along that portrays gay life in such a normal (perhaps incongruous) matter-of-fact way - look how Brokeback was received.

Well, this is the precursor...

Here, Eytan Fox approaches quite a few 'controversial' subjects in such a short space of time...unnecessary wars, unnecessary deaths. There is a clear message...with a little more love, acceptance and tolerance...hearts, minds and lives can [and do] change...for the better.

Stunning...but, too short!

The(ir) Blurb...

Yossi is a Commander at an Israeli outpost near Lebanon. He is however involved in a secret, passionate love affair with his second in command (nicknamed Jagger). The two will often sneak off from the outpost to spend time together. A failed ambush during a full moon leaves Jagger mortally wounded and forces Yossi to finally express his love.
