Ed versus Truman - they do strike very different notes albeit on the same string.
Ed is reality - aware. Truman is a sad indictment - on our ever-increasing fascination with every-day-kind-of-folks.
So...separate them - and you will appreciate this much more than simply comparing.
Both films have something to say.
