Bog standard TV direction with overpowering music.
A classic example as to why a woman (Ms Rendell) cannot write about (male) homosexuality...even when the adaptation has been done by an inconsistent screaming Mary.
Dreadful...all choirboys, fags, scarf and knicker sniffing and, tears (you have to see it to understand it)...
Oooh those pesky bisexuals - they get it in the neck again.
