Recollection

A dream that feeds on the images of Israeli and American films shot between the sixties and the nineties. All the protagonists of those films are excluded from the field. This then is the dream of a deserted city, Jaffa, and of the ruins that have piled up year after year. The background, which has risen to the role of protagonist, is not only a ghostly landscape, but also becomes a starting point from which to begin looking for life forms.

Un sogno che si alimenta con le immagini di film israeliani e statunitensi girati tra gli anni Sessanta e Novanta. Dal campo sono estromessi tutti i protagonisti di quelle pellicole. Questo allora è il sogno di una città deserta, Jaffa, e delle rovine che si sono accatastate anno dopo anno. Lo sfondo, assurto al ruolo di protagonista, non è solo un paesaggio spettrale, ma diventa anche un punto di partenza dal quale ricominciare a cercare forme di vita.
