CGiii Comment

The Games are, quite unexpected, very cruel indeed - think: a mad bout in the Colosseum. Their coverage is camper than camp...courtesy of an unreserved Jason Schwartzman.

This is the prequel to the enormity of the original and it does stand on its own two feet without any knowledge of its predecessors [descendants!] - mainly due to all the information that is dished out in overly generous dollops. It's a fictional history lesson for the YAs who are smitten by The Games!

Despite its lack of star-power, it is a money-making machine...it made a fortune at the Box Office - the discovery and engagement of a new wave of fans!
