Importance of Being Earnest (The)

Country: UK, Language: English, 97 mins

  • Director: Oliver Parker
  • Writer: Oscar Wilde; Oliver Parker
  • Producer: David Brown; Uri Fruchtmann

CGiii Comment

Massively unimpressive - despite the Oscar-winning names.

All of Wilde's humour has been erased by the inept direction.

Parker...a director who messes up and around with too many genres, a director with neither style nor trademark. A director without identity.
