Madeline Stern; demanding, entitled, cranky movie star meets extrovert, adventurer and free spirit, Sarah; on the worst day of her life. She's been aged out of her dream role, finds her husband cheating on her with his assistant, hears from her doctor that the lump in her breast needs further exploration, and a daughter she gave up for adoption over 30 years ago wants to meet her birth mother - This all happens before lunch. Who wouldn't want to leave town? "The Road Ahead" is a light hearted comedy that follows two seemingly independent women as they discover that even the most successful people need someone on whom to depend, and the seemingly free spirit might not be "free", but actually afraid to stop running from a past that haunts her.
