Country: USA, Language: English, 6 mins

  • Director: Simon Schultz von Dratzig

CGiii Comment

Publicly screaming 'FUCK' through a megaphone is NOT going to help anyone's cause...no matter what that cause is.

If you offend the sensibility, that sensibility will turn its back.

It's reportage rather than a film...what it does highlight: The trans*cause need to re-evaluate their brand of activism...being confrontational is not the way to go - think more on the lies of Gandhi.

trans * march from Gitte Schmitz on Vimeo.

The 10th annual trans*march took place on June 28th 2013 in San Francisco, CA. As the most politicized of the three marches during pride week in San Francisco it has a tradition of raising the visibility of trans*-people and their issues. This short documentary is a collection of queer voices during the trans*march 2013 and reflects parts of the discussions concerning the trans*- and LGBT-movement.
