An early look at gay cinema - fascinating? Most definitely.

Funny? Now that depends on your opinion and your sensitivity.

The sissy was a common element in early films and, if you have to struggle to get your head round that very fact then...your blood is going to boil. One of the first ludicrous stereotypes.

But...it has to be said...it is bloody funny.
