It looks fantastic - and, Depp is as camp as tits, Carter is deliciously deranged and Hathaway is miscast.
Many have panned this, simply because they keep bleating on about the book (or the Disney cartoon) - admittedly, the script is a little drab in places...but, this was made for children - a few Shrek-like adult innuendos would have been a bonus - but, as entertainment goes - this is just fine.
Cease the academic approach - sit back and simply enjoy.

Alice, an unpretentious and individual 19-year-old, is betrothed to a dunce of an English nobleman. At her engagement party, she escapes the crowd to consider whether to go through with the marriage and falls down a hole in the garden after spotting an unusual rabbit.
