CGiii Comment

An explosive opening and a damn fine debut from Laurent Micheli!

A film that flows - seamlessly - from one emotion into another, from one party into a bedroom and back again.

It all revolves around a close-knit group of 30-somethings...each at different stages in their sexual maturity...some want to settle, some want to party, some want to experience something new...and, one just wants someone.

Rarely is such directorial competence seen in a debut...there's joy, there's pain and there are those little injected quirks that set this film on fire. The soundtrack is fuel to that fire!

All the characters are credible, relatable and identifiable...they blatantly ask: Who are you? Where are you...in this crazy adult world?

This is a testament to youth, a tribute to those care-free, sex-filled days...as in all cases, when the fire dies and the embers glow, good things must come to an end. Some cling on as if their life depended upon it, some move on because their life depends on moving on...and, some compromise for a happier, more dependable life.

Laurent Micheli has made a mature film about impending maturity...sooner or later, we all get there...for better, for worse.

A mighty fine mature film...about the end of immaturity.
