CGiii Comment

Truly...this is terrifying.

The French Criminal Justice System comes under scrutiny...the incompetence and corruption is beyond comprehension.

There is no presumption of innocence here - Marecaux (and many others) are accused of child rape...the police, the prosecutor and the judge all presume and act as if he is guilty.

Expediency is not a priorty...the process takes years of imprisonment before it gets to court.

Vincent Garenq focuses solely on Marecaux...his life is needlessly shattered by false accusation...played with a singular conviction to the role, Philippe Torreton transforms himself...a performance worthy of many accolades.

This is grim, there is no soundtrack - nothing to detract from the bleakest of situations. This happened. This could happen to anyone.

Difficult to watch, difficult to comprehend - a mighty achievement.
