CGiii Comment

Definitely a benchmark for its time...some moronic MPs even tried to ban it.

Now...with the likes of Beautiful Thing and Queer as Folk - it's hard to see what the fuss was all about. The late 80s...what a time!!!

The writing is, frankly, pedestrian and flat (stick to the soaps, luv).

There are plenty of [yawn] showers scenes.

Clumsily directed, no - terribly directed.

Ridiculous voice-overs, a plethora of awkward looks and stares...and, appalling acting.

All in all, it's a cringing, laughable disaster...but, brave for its time.

Thank God those times are gone.

Worth a look only to see how far we have all progressed.
