Okay...a young filmmaker's first film...so, some advice...
Dialogue...after writing it, say it out loud, re-write, say it aloud again and again...if it sounds right [ask people], keep. If not, scrap it.
Direction...direct actors, don't let them do what they want...it's your film! Visually, it's all there...avoid cheesy shots [e.g. hand-holding]. Interesting edits!
As for the [early] Bowie-infused soundtrack...especially that song...bloody good...and, applied rather well.
Overall...not bad at all.
