In this satirical short film a group of old-fashioned crusaders gathers at the railway station Cologne-West. They are waiting for the "Cross-Train" (which is the word-by-word-translation of "Kreuzzug" - the German expression for "Crusade"). That train is supposed to bring them to the Promised Land in order to fight the last decisive battle of Christendom.

A documentary filmteam approaches these crusaders trying to explore their motivations. Very easily they expose themselves as a bunch of idiots. But the longer the heavily armed group has to wait the more aggressive the whole atmosphere gets. The situation is about to escalate at any time. And in the end it does…


In diesem satirischen Kurzfilm wartet eine Gruppe Kreuzritter am Bahnhof Koeln-West auf den "Kreuzzug" - den Sonderzug, der sie ins Gelobte Land bringen soll, um dort die letzte entscheidende Schlacht der Christenheit zu schlagen. Im dokumentarischen Stil naehern wir uns diesen Menschen und versuchen, ihre Motivation zu erkunden. Dabei entlarven sie sich schnell als ziemliche Idioten. Doch je länger sich die schwer bewaffnete Truppe am Bahnsteig die Füße in den Bauch steht, desto aggressiver wird die Stimmung...
