Original Title

Haute Tension

  • Writer: Alexandre Aja; Grégory Levasseur
  • Producer: Alexandre Arcady; Robert Benmussa

CGiii Comment

In a horror film, when the victims are unlikeable, this creates an anticipation for them to die, painfully, and as quickly as possible - thereby, negating all tension.

Aja reeks of precocity - the short scene of fellatio with the severed head is laughable - thereby negating any potential horror.

It's predictable, it's bloody and it's awful.

And, the poster gives away the ending - guess who the lesbian is?

Late in the night, a sadistic and sick killer breaks into the farmhouse, slaughters Alexia's family--including their dog--and kidnaps Alexia.
