CGiii Comment

JOHN HEMMER & THE SHOWGIRLS is a documentary short and web-based experience in post-production which chronicles the artistic life of singer/entertainer, John Hemmer, along with some of his community of fellow performers, many of whom began their careers in the 1950's and 60's, a heyday for supper clubs, cabaret and theater. The film celebrates a cultural history like no other, and offers a glimpse at how passion for one's art can foster meaning and community that lasts a lifetime.
