BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE (PRIMA DI TUTTO) tells about an Italian gay couple that became the happy fathers of two twin boys thanks to the help of two Americans families. The documentary has the shape of the diary of a journey, a linear narration from the development of the relationship with the surrogate and with the donor, the two women who could help the gay couple to realize its dreams, to the reactions that this kind of family has to face coming back to Italy, a country where there is no adoption or recognition for gay couples.
