A Colombian family living in Miami is compelled to celebrate Thanksgiving for the first time when the eldest son invites the man he likes to their home for the holiday, sparking tension within the family. When Héctor Octavio, the eldest son, shares this news with his parents, they react negatively and ask him to cancel the invitation. Seeking support, he turns to his siblings, who reluctantly agree to help. Despite the initial resistance, the family decides to proceed with the Thanksgiving celebration, but the day takes an unexpected turn. Humorous, heartwarming, and tense situations unfold throughout the day. Héctor Octavio eventually admits to the man he likes that the Thanksgiving celebration was a lie, but to his surprise, he is understanding. The family warmly welcomes the man, and they all enjoy a pleasant dinner together. However, unexpected revelations during dinner lead to tension and a fight within the family.
