The problem with this film is the difficulty in deciphering what is fact or fiction, who is real and who is not...perhaps, that's the point - since some ladyboys seem to dwell in no man's land.
Raquela is a hopeless dreamer - and is rather short on functioning brain cells. The nursing interview will make everyone cringe.
Her stupidity and irresponsibility are staggering - her cutesy manner may seduce some but, hopefully not many.
The hooker-with-a-heart is tiresome.
The stench of exploitation and manipulation by the producers permeates throughout - and it does leave a rather nasty taste in the mouth.
It is a well-made film...but, the constant I want, I want, I want - will get on your nerves in next to no time.

Raquela is a transsexual-or "ladyboy"-from the Philippines who dreams of escaping the streets of Cebu City for a fairy tale life in Paris. In order to make her dreams come true, she turns from prostitution toward the more lucrative business of Internet porn. Her success as a porn star brings new friends, including Valerie, a ladyboy in Iceland, and Michael, the owner of the website Raquela works for. Valerie helps Raquela get as far as Iceland. From there, Michael offers her a rendezvous in Paris. Will Paris be everything she dreamed of? And will Michael turn out to be her Prince Charming?
