He approaches the justification of prostitution as 'survival sex' with an even-hand and a level-head.

There are moments that are profoundly moving...moments of violence, moments of deflation. Despite the work, there is a person functioning to get by...pride, dignity and modesty don't pay the medical bills!

An astonishingly mature film...from one so young.
