'It's just as important to feed the soul as it is to feed the body' is the refrain by stylist and gender-queer activist Madin Lopez. As a teenager growing up in a broken home, Madin ended up in the foster care system, only to end up on the streets after being rejected by those who were supposed to care for them when they would not conform to traditional gender norms. This experience taught Madin the difficulties homeless teens face, especially those who are transgender. Now an adult, Madin has made it their life's mission to give back by offering pro-bono beauty services to LA's LGBTQ youth, helping them to outwardly express their true identity in an effort to make them feel confident in their true selves. In 'Transformation', a one-hour documentary special and accompanying viral short we'll meet Madin Lopez and find out why their mission is so important and their services much needed by many Los Angeles youth.
