TransTALE is a documentary love story following Puerto Rican transgender activist Maria Roman and her fiancé, Jason Taylorson, as they prepare to become the first trans/cis couple to wed at Los Angeles’ historic St. John's Cathedral in 2019. Set against the backdrop of societal stigma, the film explores their bond, Maria’s decades-long advocacy, and the larger fight for visibility, inclusion, and love within the trans community.
