Two brothers, an exuberant father and an invisible mother. A family of farmers of apple and grapes from an Alpine valley where life is rude, as well as manners are. The younger son, Gim, is nineteen. Through suffering he is starting to experience his homosexuality, but the world around him just can't accept that. Renzo, the father, would have rather emasculated himself, than having fathered a homosexual. So the elder son Alex is stuck in the middle, on the one hand encouraging Gim to overcome all his fears, on the other trying to continue the tradition of the fathers. He seems to carry on his shoulders the destructive unhappiness that living all together brings about. In such an exasperated context is hard to recognize the love hidden behind. Will they be able to keep on living together, accepting one another for what each of them is?
