A group of friends going to a queer bar, getting drinks, flirting, watching a drag show, dancing, smoking, laughing with friends, and ending in a moment of fear when the bar door unexpectedly bursts open. With so many hateful anti-LGBTQ and anti-trans laws being passed, many queer performers, drag queens, and trans artists are finding themselves stuck, trapped, and unsafe. The team of 808 hope is to create a space that provides jobs for queer artists while simultaneously making art that speaks directly to our current moment.
