CGiii Comment

Seriously, this is hard work - there is no respite from the depression, repression and the irrational jealousy.

Similar in tone with On the Waterfront - Miller's play is an acquired taste, for those that wallow in misery - the kitchen sink dramas of Britain's 60s are taken across the Atlantic and stripped, denuded of any glimmer of hope or humour.

Life can't be this bad and if it is - who would want to pay to be a voyeur?

Stark and difficult. Powerful and pessimistic...but, challenging - if you have the stomach for it.
