An exercise in...the less said, the more implied.
An overly long, observational piece that would have been far more effective if a few prudent cuts were implemented...
The narrative is diluted by irrelevance which makes it rather hard to follow at times. Stick with it.
There is a subtext running throughout that is as subtle as it is sinister.
Cruelty, violence, perversity and gentility are all dished out in equal measures...but, underpinning all this, there is a dignity within the futility and poverty
Despite its length, there is an exceptional talent at work - with no weak performances - Cyclo will leave you bewildered and compromised.
Exceptional, complex, disturbing, difficult.
