- Producer: Tim Burton; Denise Di Novi
CGiii Comment
Burton makes Wood so utterly likeable and Depp excels...adorable.
Does Ed Wood deserve a film about his painfully untalented endeavours? Yes and no.
His bizarre friendship with Bela Lugosi is the crux...without that friendship there would have been no story.
Landau plays Lugosi with a fragile relish - he received a well-deserved Oscar for his performance.
It is a fine vision of talentlessness, loyalty and tenacity - done and played to perfection.
Touching and sincere.
