CGiii Comment

The director of ‘Blue is the Warmest Colour’ and ‘Couscous’ delivers a rapturous paean to young love with this languorous summer-set drama. Amin, an aspiring screenwriter living in Paris, returns home to a fishing village in the South of France. Together with his cousin Tony and best friend Ophélie, he spends his time hanging out in the restaurant run by his parents, and the local bars and the beaches frequented by girls on holiday, where the possibility of romance is palpable. Set in 1994, Abdellatif Kechiche’s film is a treat for the senses.
