Anam Wagner, a Brussels-based writer, comes to Berlin, his hometown, to promote his new novel and to reconcile with his family. While in Berlin, he also meets two former lovers, Noémie and Fred, and falls in love with a beautiful dark stranger named Luc. But his checkered past and troubled family history prevent Anam from becoming truly involved with anybody. He has to come to terms with his roots, especially with his B-movie star mother.
